How to add UPI on an invoice (India)
Adding UPI on invoices helps Indian clients pay you faster.
Why put UPI on the invoice?
Freelancers and shops in India often get paid by UPI. If the ID is only in WhatsApp chat, clients forget it. On the PDF, payment is one tap away.
Steps on Billvale
- Open invoice generator and set currency to INR.
- Scroll to payment / "How you get paid".
- Enter your UPI ID (e.g. name@upi).
- Optional: add bank account + IFSC in the same block.
- Download PDF → WhatsApp or email to client.

FAQ
- Where should UPI appear on the invoice?
- Usually in a Payment details section at the bottom — UPI ID, optional payee name, and bank/IFSC if you also accept transfers.
- Can international clients pay via UPI?
- UPI is for India-based payments in INR. For foreign clients, use bank SWIFT/IBAN details and USD/EUR currency on the invoice.
